The Alteoptic 8-Port Gel-Sealed Fiber Optic Splice and Patch Closure integrates fiber splicing, patching, splitting, storage and drop cable distribution within a compact outdoor enclosure.It is equipped with eight SC/APC simplex adapters and supports feeder cable splicing, one 1×8 PLC splitter or two 1×4 PLC splitters. The compressed gel cable sealing system enables fast installation and convenient re-entry without heat-shrink tools. Wall, pole and aerial strand mounting options are available.

Configuration Selection
PLC Splitter Configuration
The PLC splitter configuration can be equipped with one 1×8 PLC splitter or two 1×4 PLC splitters. The incoming feeder fiber is connected to the splitter input, while the splitter outputs are routed to eight internal SC/APC adapters through optical pigtails.
This configuration is suitable for distributed-split FTTH networks where optical splitting is performed close to subscriber premises.
Feeder Cable Splice Configuration
The feeder cable splice configuration does not include an optical splitter. Individual feeder fibers are fusion-spliced directly to the pigtails connected to the eight internal SC/APC adapters.
This configuration is suitable for point-to-point networks, centralized-split architectures and applications where optical splitting is performed at another network location.
